FHA Updates Property and Preservation Requirements

There has been a change which you can find in the HUD Mortgagee Letter 2010-18: Update of Property and Preservation (P&P) Requirements and Cost Reimbursement Procedures, one being that the process requirements for over-allowable expenses, such as setting a per property allowable cost limit and mandating submission of all documents to the Mortgagee Compliance Manager (MCM) through HUD's P260 system.
Other things to note is the FHA's current conveyance condition standards, as well as the requirements for removal of interior debris to maintain the property in broom-swept condition along with following the FHA's inspection requirements.
